In March 2025, we were fortunate to be able to go back to CRILE in Gracias after a few years without making the trip due to COVID and other issues outside of our control. This trip was even more special because it was the first year that we partnered with Community Living Windsor. We are so grateful for their support. Without it, we wouldn’t have been able to bring such a large team and help so many children.
This year’s volunteers in Gracias were: Fabian Gorodzinksy, Laura Bradley, Steve Berthiaume, Abby DeWolfe, Jeremy Garrod, Rajiv Kalsi, Wafa Khoja, Riley Meade, Antoinette Megens, Marta Reyes Lipman, Annie Roy, and Liz Vile. Many others worked to support the brigade from here in Ontario, too.
Our team, supported by and working with local volunteers, treated nearly 100 children. Our team built approximately 20 adaptive chairs and provided supportive footwear to about 50% of the children we treated. We also provided orthotics, gave physical therapy parent training and taught specialized feeding techniques to the parents of our little patients.
Thank you to our supporters!
We could not have made this trip and helped so many children without you.
First and foremost, we are so grateful for the support from Community Living Windsor. We appreciate their passion for helping the children in Gracias and the expertise and hard work they brought to this year’s brigade.
